Geometry

Footprint, outline, height and volume. Values from a model carry a tilde, so an estimate never passes for a measurement.

Register facts

Declared use, floors, built area, construction year and cadastral number, matched to the footprint by how much the outlines overlap.

Local climate

Extremes, frost days and rainfall for the building's location, the inputs behind heat-demand estimates.

Gas network

Evidence at five levels, from the locality down to the building. Proximity is never claimed as a connection.

Questions about baseray. Coverage, data, accuracy and export.

What is baseray?

baseray is a building database for sales, solar, construction and insurance teams. It holds one record per building in Romania and Czechia: its shape, height, use, roof, existing solar panels, local climate and the companies registered at its address. You filter the buildings you want, check each one and export the list.

Which countries does baseray cover?

Romania and Czechia are live, with every building on the map. Germany, Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Moldova are on the way.

What does a building record contain?

Footprint area, outline length and width, height, volume, floors and category; the declared use, built area, construction year and cadastral number where the register has them; existing solar panels and, where the roof has been modelled, the panel count, capacity and yearly yield; the local climate and gas network; and the companies registered at the address.

How do I find buildings without solar panels?

Filter existing solar panels on “None seen”. A baseray model reads dated aerial photos of each roof and returns detected, none seen or unclear, with the date of the photo, so you know how recent the check is. Roofs the model has not read yet show as not checked.

Can I see which companies are registered at a building?

Yes. baseray links a company to a building only when the company’s registered office is the building’s exact official address in the national business register. It is shown as a registered office, never as ownership or occupancy.

Are building heights measured or estimated?

Each height says which. It is measured, derived from a model, worked out from the number of floors, or a default for the building category. Estimates carry a tilde, for example ~18.0 m, and the volume computed from them carries it too.

How do I get the buildings into my CRM?

Export any list as CSV with Clay-ready columns, share lead lists with your team, or query the API with an API key from your workspace settings. The API returns the same fields as the app and sets total_is_capped when an area holds more results than one query counts.

Who is baseray for?

Solar and heat-pump installers looking for roofs and heat loads, B2B sales teams prospecting the companies registered in large buildings, and construction and insurance teams that need checked building facts.

How current is the data?

The data is refreshed whenever the underlying national data is updated. The figures on this page come from the baseray snapshot of 25 Sep 2026 and from records read in the live app that day.
